Toys

To be placed on the market, toys must be safe for use by children. Toys do not have to endanger safety and health of children, considering the behaviour of both children and their supervisor.

What you need to know to sell toys in Great Britain

If you are a manufacturer of toys and you want to sell your products in Great Britain, you must comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations. These cover toys designed or intended (whether or not exclusively) for use in play by children under 14 years old.

Toys sold in Great Britain must display the UKCA marking. However, manufacturers can benefit from the transitional period that ends on 31 December, 2024.
